Also the same when I try /opt/chromium-browser/chrome

@Inxsible - I'm no Chromium developer (obviously), but that looks to me like its failing in the initial write of preferences when you start chrome/chromium for the first time. I'm about to update this package in a few minutes (about 5 minutes as of writing this) and let me know if that fixes it for you. If not, please email me (my email is in my AUR profile) and i'll try to help you work through it on a one-on-one basis.

Kozer, did you install this package or snapshot-64? If you installed this one, that's probably your issue.

jdhore: Yes and no. From the screenshots linked there in my previous comment, it appears like extensions-installation should "just work" a la Firefox. Upon clicking on a download for an extension, it asks to save an RSS feed, and then makes a temporary dir to unpack the CRX but nothing happens. If we save this CRX, and then drag it to Chromium, there is only that temporary dir and no working extension. Could you try on an extension and confirm this behaviour?
edit: nevermind. the last update enables the magic :)
And about the warnings, they're mostly GTK+ and plug-in ones. You won't see them if you don't run the browser long enough, or surf differing sites. And they're harmless, inherent, and upstream.
As for the ffmpeg plug-ins, Firefox will probably never play it because no HTML5 browser other than Safari and Chrome has or will support mp4/aac due to patent issues. Chrome-win32 from AUR is able to play that, so I'd expected Chromium to be able to as well with the nonfree-plugins addon.
